The main purpose for the group will be to serve as the Supporters' Group of our local minor league team(s) that moved to the area to begin play in 2015.
The group was started by D.C. United and American Outlaws supporters' group members in the hopes of bring some of the same atmosphere to FFC games as you see at DCU and U.S. National team games. Flags waving, drums beating, songs and chants being sung all to bring a great atmosphere to the games for our players. We are all one big #FutbolFamily that will support each other till the end. We Are Fredericksburg!
Formerly known as RVA Football Club, the teams joined forces with the rebranded Fredericksburg FC youth club to help give local players something to aim for as they continue to grow in the game. The long-term plan is to represent "FREDERICKSBURG-AREA" soccer at ALL levels, not just the minor-league team(s)... If you believe in the game, come support the 'beautiful game' with us!
The NPSL team was established in 2013 and won the NPSL National title in its 1st season (2013), and the WPSL team was established in 2014 and became an official member of the league in 2015. Games will be played at the University or Mary Washington's Battleground Stadium conveniently close to downtown Fredericksburg, so part of the plan is to eventually have a gathering spot located in Downtown to go to before the game and then march to the games, as well as just to gather at for group functions.
Seasons usually start toward the end of May and run to August.
