FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (Monday, May 11, 2020)—Fredericksburg FC and Riverbend High School standout Kaitlyn Riggleman was recently awarded one of four $10,000 Adele Dolansky Scholarships offered by the Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS) organization.
Riggleman applied for the scholarship after her father found it while doing some research and saw that it aligned with her passion for soccer and empowering other females in the sport.
“I was honestly very shocked when I got the email. When I applied I kept my hopes up because you never want to doubt yourself, but I never thought it would actually happen to me,” she said. “It's definitely so surreal thinking about it still, that out of everyone that applied, I was chosen to represent WAGS.”
