About Pre-NPSL / WPSL / CCL Pro 23

Purpose and Objectives of Pre-NPSL and Pre-WPSL

The Purpose and Objectives for the PRE - NPSL and WPSL Program, is to provide U15 - U19 Players the opportunity to remain competitive and involved with the Club on a full-time basis throughout the Spring Season, and the Summer Months. The PRE NPSL and WPSL is a feeder Program for the Full NPSL and WPSL Teams. The PRE - NPSL and WPSL Teams will compete as a Squad for the Spring Season, attending Two Additional College Showcases between March and May. Once the Spring Season is complete, the PRE - NPSL and WPSL Teams will then compete during the Summer Months as a Squad in the CCL Pro23 Season.

The Purpose and Objectives for the CCL PRO23 is to provide former and current CCL players, and current Collegiate Players an opportunity to find professional, meaningful training as well as superior competition during the Summer Months, (during their offseason) all while preparing them for a successful collegiate season in the fall. Fredericksburg FC will use this League and Platform to provide our U15 - U19 Players (PRE- NPSL and WPSL Program) the opportunity to gain valuable experience to Play with and against older Players, which will prepare them for College and future higher level competition.

Standards and Expectations

The PRE - NPSL and WPSL Program is a completely, separate and additional Program in the Club. The PRE - NPSL and WPSL Program does not affect any current or future selection and decisions for Black, Red or Gold Youth Teams at any Age Group for 2017-2018 Season. The Program is not designed to take anything away from the Player. The Program has been created to offer Players additional opportunities to Train and compete at a higher level.

Players that are selected for the PRE - NPSL and WPSL Program, will be allowed to Play High School Soccer. However, to remain on the PRE – NPSL and WPSL Program, Players must attend Two of the Three Training Sessions each Week.

Fans

We are the only minor league team within 50 miles… everyone loves to come out and support FFC! We average over 300 fans per game. Our minor league teams are on top of a full youth club, which brings out a ton of young, excited fans and their families. We have local Mary Washington players that play for the teams, which also brings out the college crowd!

Burg Brigade

The FFC Supporters Group was established 2015 when RVA merged with FASA to rebrand together as Fredericksburg FC. This initiative was started by current American Outlaws and DC United Supporters to bring fan culture and support to the Fredericksburg area. They bring their drums out to the fields and are constantly chanting and singing during the games. It really creates an awesome atmosphere to play in.

Travel

Both the Men & Women’s teams compete in the largest adult amateur leagues in the country. The Atlantic Conferences mostly consist of travel between Maryland and Virginia, while Regional Competition includes travel to the Northeast. The National Championships have been held in Oklahoma, Tennessee, California, New York & Virginia.

Pre-NPSL & Pre-WPSL Programs compete in the CCL PRO 23 League which boasts the largest and most dominant youth soccer organizations throughout Virginia, DC & Maryland.   The CCL PRO 23 competes in the summer months consisting of a regular season and playoff competition.  This league is sanctioned by the USASA ( United States Adult Soccer Association )
